Approach

I offer poetry editing and manuscript consultations. I also proof-read and edit essays, as well as communications and marketing copy.

In my editing, I bring curiosity, care, and a collaborative approach. My hope is to open up new directions for growth and exploration in your writing, and to honour what you and your work are trying to do— guided by your own questions, politics, desires, and intentions.

My experience includes:

• 2+ years as editor / guest editor, poetry and hybrid genres, at publications including Hematopoeisis Press and Foglifter Journal

• 2+ years in workshop facilitation and education, including with Winter Tangerine, Whippersnapper Gallery, and Tangled Arts + Disability

• 3+ years in communications in non-profit environments

Services and Standard Rates

• Copy-editing: $35-45/hour

• Developmental editing

• Single poem: $25

• Packet of three (up to 5 pages): $75

• Manuscript consultation

• Chapbook (~20-35 pages): $300

• Full-length (~50-100 pages): $500

Manuscript consultations include written feedback on your manuscript as a whole; specific questions and suggestions for revision; and a 60-90 minute Zoom discussion of your manuscript, which you can record and keep. 

Sliding Scale & Discounted Rates

When capacity allows, I offer a sliding scale on manuscript consultations— up to 50% cap on rates for sick/disabled queer folks, with priority to Black and Indigenous writers
